The Parentingsupport.ie website is a collaborative initiative that emerged from the Kildare
West Wicklow Parenting Forum and is now managed by In Sync – Youth & Family Services.

The Kildare West Wicklow Parenting Forum is an inter-agency structure made up of
organisations from Kildare and Wicklow with a remit and commitment to supporting parents.
parentingsupport.ie has received ongoing support from Kildare Children and Young People’s
Services Committee (CYPSC) and Wicklow Children and Young People’s Services Committee
(CYPSC).

In 2023, funding was allocated from the Parenting Support Awareness Fund of the
Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) via Kildare and
Wicklow CYPSC to support the redevelopment of the website.

In tandem with this, In Sync – Youth Family Services agreed to host the website and include
it as one of the suite of supports the organisation offers to children, young people, parents
and families.

The goal of parentingsupport.ie is to provide a clear, accessible go-to information hub for
parents in Kildare and Wicklow, and the professionals who support them.
