Parentingsupport.ie a vital resource for parents in Kildare and Wicklow, has officially launched their new website, offering an enhanced, user-friendly platform that provides critical information and support. The website is a collaborative initiative born out of the Kildare West Wicklow Parenting Forum, an inter-agency structure dedicated to supporting parents across the region.

In 2023, significant funding was allocated from the Parenting Support Awareness Fund of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability & Youth (DCEDIY) to redevelop the website, on foot of a successful joint application from Kildare CYPSC and Wicklow CYPSC.
The relaunch of parentingsupport.ie has been made possible through the ongoing support from the Kildare Children & Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC) and Wicklow Children & Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC).
According to Kildare CYPSC Coordinator, Emma Berney:
‘The parentingsupport.ie website is a great example of inter-agency collaboration in action. The new updated website exists thanks to the positive partnership between parents, the local Parenting Forum, In Sync Youth & Family Services, Wicklow CYPSC and Kildare CYPSC’.
Fionnuala Curry, CYPSC Coordinator stated:
‘Thanks to the funders DCEDIY for supporting the redevelopment of such a valuable resource for parents across Kildare and Wicklow and to the parents who have informed the redevelopment of the site’.
In Sync Youth & Family Services, recognising the critical role of the website, has agreed to host parentingsupport.ie as part of its suite of supports for children, young people, parents, and families.
The redeveloped website aims to serve as a clear, accessible go-to hub for parents and the professionals who support them, offering information about a wide range of available resources and courses tailored to the needs of the community.
