Description
The YDP (Youth Diversion Project) engages with children and young people at risk of or involved in criminal and/or anti-social behaviour. Youth Justice Workers support 12–17-year-olds, Early Intervention Workers support 8–11-year-olds, and Family Support Workers who support families of children and young people referred to the YDP. The project seeks to divert young people from entering or remaining within the youth justice system. YDPs work with young people and their families in their communities, taking a strengths-based approach to support positive change, enable them to reach their full potential and improve their long-term outcomes.
